| Deepen joined Walker Kontos on his return from the UK in 1998 after completing his LL.B at the University of Bristol and the LPC at the College of Law, London. He became partner in 2005.

In this capacity, Deepen has advised on numerous financing transactions with particular regard to the creation of general and asset-specific securities and syndicated loans. He has also advised extensively in the formation of companies, the sale and purchase of shares and businesses, the acquisition and disposal of moveable and immovable assets including agricultural land, and leasing arrangements in respect of office, commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential premises.
Deepen has conducted several due diligence and security review exercises for various investment projects in Kenya in the telecommunications, banking, aviation, hotel and tourism industries, both in the private and public sectors. Deepen has also advised on the legal and regulatory aspects of private sector participation in the provisions of public services.
